.. It was now famed photographer Gordon Parks that LIFE magazine dispatched to Avonmore, Pennsylvania in September 1953 to document the birth of the new star soon to be christened Jill Corey. This would lead to a life-long friendship to which this letter testifies. Jill attended Parks' funeral in 2006, when he passed on at 93.
